Once you have been in touch with Alison and have determined which package or invitations you’d like to order, she will provide a final quote for the design and (for UK customers only) the print and postage cost should you require it.

 The invitations are typically designed first. For these, you will be asked to provide details including your wedding venue/location, any colour schemes, flowers or foliage that you’ll be having, wording and any other personal details that you’d like to include for each product.

All invitation prices include an initial sketch, a final colour version and one round of small amendments (such as spelling or timings) to the colour version.

Using the details you’ve provided for the invitations, Alison will create a rough sketch to check you’re on the same page (if you’ll excuse the pun). Once you’ve approved this, Alison will send over the full invoice for the order. Upon receipt of payment, Alison will begin the exciting part - bringing the drawings to life with paint!

All other stationery products are completed in paint immediately, unless a sketch is specifically requested. You will also have a chance to review these before they are sent to print.

Good things take time - for full wedding stationery packages, it is advisable to leave at least 8 months + from when you order to when you would like to receive your final designs, especially if you require printing. If you are ordering invitations only,  4 months + is advised.

Turnaround time can be quicker if you would like to receive design only (no printed copies). It’s understandable that couples will often not know details for things like Seating Plans and Order of the Day boards until nearer the wedding date. Don’t worry - Alison will keep in touch with you about this (she can often work on the designs and add wording in nearer the time) to create a smooth, stress free stationery experience!

Print and postage is offered for UK customers and most couples decide to let Alison sort out the printing for them. Customers can choose from a selection of paper stocks and a range of envelope choices will be included with any Save the Date or invitation orders.

If you’re an international customer (or would simply like to handle print yourself), designs will be sent as print ready colour files, via a downloadable link.

A full wedding invoice with cost breakdown for your current order will be sent to you via email and full payment in GBP (which can be made by bank transfer) is required before any painting or colour work begins. Any foreign exchange fees must be covered by the customer and you must ensure to calculate any conversions yourself in order to pay the correct amount. If the correct amount is not received, Alison cannot go ahead with the order.

Alison is happy to invoice as you go along with various stationery (for example, you can pay for your invitations first and then the rest of the order a little down the line).
